Woodinville Pioneers Come to Life – Susan woodin DAR chapter
A Living History Walk at Woodinville Cemetery
The Woodinville Cemetery becomes a place where local history feels close. “Woodinville Pioneers Come to Life!” is a living history walk where community interpreters portray early Woodinville-area residents and share true, first-person stories at gravesites—an experience that blends remembrance with storytelling. Meet Susan Woodin or Elmer Carlberg or even Johann Koch!
What to expect
Drop-in, walk-at-your-own-pace format: stroll the grounds and stop at living-history “stations” to hear short stories.
A respectful focus, honoring those who came before us and the community they helped build.
The cemetery’s historic name is often shared in event materials: “Woodinville Recessional Memorial Mead.”
